iPhone or Droid??

I want to get itsbob a new phone for Valentines Day because he SOOO deserves it.

He's a GREAT husband, a fantastic lo.. well, you get where I'm going, and want to get him something worthy of him being him.

What are the advantages of the new Droid and the iPhone 4? Both are coming out to Verizon about the same time, and I'll stand in line for one ALL night if I have to, he's so worth it

I think Bob figured out BG's password again.

Well, "BadGirl" :ahem:, to which "new Droid" are you referring?

The HTC Thunderbolt is supposed to be coming out soon, and it does look like a good one. I need a new phone, but personally, I'm waiting for the Bionic; unfortunately, I have heard it will not be released anywhere from mid-April to June.

Great way to get to the Verizon store and buy a Droid:) I suppose for me, I like the open aspect of the market.

Actually, I think that I'll get the Thunder and pass on to Bob my *old* Droid Incredible.

That way, we both get a little something new.

I mean, why should only one of us benefit from a new purchase. Makes sense, right?

He has said how much faster your Incredible is. He would be none the wiser. :yay:

Won't posting about it here kind of take some of the surprise out of it?
Of course, that might happen when a 1- or 200 dollar Verizon charge shows up on the next bank statement, and she describes it as, "Nothing."

FedEx just delivered my CDMA iPhone 4. This will be the first Apple device I ever purchased (and kept) for myself. I'm about to open the package - I'm trying to savor the moment. I think I might cry.

As to the original question, I think the iPhone / Droid platform phone decision is too subjective for most to offer much meaningful input on it. It really depends on what itsbob likes and what resonates, for whatever reason it does, with him.

You'll have to let us all know how you like it! I'm (not so) patiently waiting until I'm eligible for an upgrade (and my last "new every 2") in August.

Verizon dropped that plan.....

Verizon quietly scraps "new every two" credit - Jan. 13, 2011
Current Verizon customers who are eligible for "new every two" credits will still be able to use them toward the iPhone, shaving a few more dollars off the $200 price tag. But starting Jan. 16, Verizon will no longer offer the credit on new contracts and renewals, company officials told SmartMoney.
