Iran leader dismisses US currency

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has suggested an end to the trading of oil in US dollars, calling the currency "a worthless piece of paper".

The call came at the end of a rare Opec summit, and was opposed by US ally Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian president had wanted to include the attack on the dollar in the summit's closing statement.

The communique made little mention of the dollar, however, focusing instead on energy security and the environment.

The summit in Saudi Arabia was only Opec's third in 47 years."

Isn't Iran the reason we re-designed all of our currency?

Weren't hey the ones spending BILLIONS of dollars using counterfeit US Currency (100's), that was being manufactured by the Iranian government..

It was so widespread that the US Government contemplated making all previous 100 bills worthless after a certain date.. kind of like war script.

This is bigger news than most of your realize. Switching away from a petrodollar to a petroEuro will raise the price of oil, and devalue/destabilize the dollar even further...
