So, she wants to "breeded" her mixed dog, in order to get just one puppy? So there are going to be several other 'mutt' puppies in the litter that are going to need good homes. Why not just adopt from a shelter?
Besides, anyone who breeds their dog hoping to get one 'just' like the mom/dad is an idiot. There are no guarantees they'll have similar personalities.

I get where you're coming from Cowgirl but, haven't you ever had a pup sooo great you either wanted to clone it or bred it in the hopes of gettin 1 just like it? I got me a lil ol speckled pup right now that if I could; I'd track down his momma and bred him to her to get 1 just like him!
Cowgirl said:Christy, you bring up some interesting points...but the point of the post was the 'tard that posted the classified ad. I think we both can agree that she's probably not a good candidate for breeding her dog.

Christy said:I still don't see anything wrong with the ad. I really don't. It's her business, and I don't think her reasons for wanting a puppy from her dog is all that absurd. Sure there are lots of animals in need of rescue, but you can't dictate that people go that route. If it were me, everyone would get their animals from the pound, but it's a free country and people have a choice. Many people don't feel comfortable getting a pound rescue, due to not knowing it's past history and possible problems. There are a bazillion different reasons why people choose as they do when it comes to their pets.
