If this were the case, congress would STOP CREATING TAX LOOPHOLES

today's tax incentive is tomorrow loophole or giveaway for the rich

Rich people aren't going to pay for laws that take their money. They're going to bribe politicians to create loopholes and shelters for them so they can keep their millions and sock it to the schmos making $50k.

Democrat voters are so mindless and cultlike that they completely ignore this even though it's right there and you don't even have to dig for it.

Or maybe just like many Democrats millionaires have said publicly. We want to be taxed at higher rates and have nothing to hide.

These contortions are amazing. How anyone can have their head in the sand while having it up their backside is a rare talent.

If you really believe that you could be giving far more, even all you have, to the government now?

Why arent' you?

Because you're lying.

Except for the part that they could pay more voluntarily right now...and they don't do it. They could give up their money laundering foundations and their untaxed offshore accounts and their accounting rigamarole right now....and they don't.

:dork:

It's hard to believe you're really this stupid.

Remember Huckabee and the "Tax Me More Fund"? Set up, so that people who didn't think they paid ENOUGH in taxes could voluntarily send in more money.

Found an old link -

On another site, after a couple years, the total crossed the 1000 dollar threshold with a contribution from one donor for 200 dollars.

So no - people do NOT give more taxes when given the CHOICE. What they want is for OTHER people to be compelled to pay more.

Following down so many Twitter replies --

I can't grasp how so many will deflect by bringing up Trump. He's not President. Hasn't been for a couple years now. And unless he gets re-elected, whatever he does is kind of NOT of national concern.

And I mean - deflect. Not refute. I personally tend to think of deflection as admission of guilt, but trying to justify it by pointing to other's guilt.
The left only hates what they call "whataboutism" when the other side is apparently engaged in it.

Otherwise, it's one of their go-to tactics.

How exactly would you do that?

Obviously you've never over paid your taxes. The IRS automatically gives you are refund and deposits it in your account if you use direct deposit.

But i guess you have to earn money to know these things not be a drain on the system like you.

You really believe that don’t you?
More than 200 millionaires say they have a message for the corporate executives and billionaires attending the World Economic Forum in Davos this week: "Tax the ultra rich."

The group, which includes actor Mark Ruffalo and Disney heir Abigail Disney, argues that the rich aren't paying their fair share, allowing them to become even richer while inequality widens across the globe.
