IRS Tax Letters

Has anyone received their tax letter or letters for filing this year? I believe there are a couple of them pertaining to the Stimulus you may have received and the letter needed to get all of the child credits you either pushed off until tax season or got in monthly payments. Wondering because no one I know has received them yet.

I just finished doing my taxes, and the only letter I needed to reference was the form letter for the $1400 stimulus we got back in March of 2021, and then only to confirm the numbers. I use Turbo Tax, and it did mention the child credits, but I don't have children, so none of it applied and no forms/letters.

Yes. This is one of the letters. I'm assuming you got it. Nobody I know has gotten theirs yet.
I got my letter way back in March. There was a website TurboTax mentioned, an IRS site where you could look up all of that info. I have no idea what it is now. If I go back in, I'll see what it is.

This might be of help:

Different letters. One of the letters I am referring to is IRS Letter 6475.
EDIT: The other is IRS Letter 6419

If you got a check, you got 6475. If you got a direct deposit like I did, you get a 1444-C. But you really don't need them. All you need to do is remember/confirm via bank account that you did indeed get the stimulus, and if not, you can get it via your 2021 taxes.

I understand there may be ways to get the info needed however, my question is about the letters themselves. BOTH were supposed to be mailed in January sometime. If you research it you will see.

The letters were sent out March thru April of 2021. Again, you don't need the letter. All you need is to remember if you got the stimulus money or not, and you can do that via your bank statements, and they are only looking to see if you got the last $1400 payment, if you were entitled to it. If you weren't entitled to it and didn't get it, no letters.

These people are still working on 2021 tax returns. I wouldn’t count on that anytime soon.

Pretty sure all of you are responding WITHOUT actually looking into what I am saying. Please Google "IRS Letter 6475 and 6419" and then get back to me. Based on the responses, I have to guess that none of you are aware of these letters.

I've seen the articles about the letters, I just don't know anyone that actually recieved one and I wasn't eligible for any of the stimulus payments anyway.
Gotcha! Thats what I am looking for. Someone who has actually received their letter(s).

I wasnt' joking about federal backups of workloads though.

Everything is running behind, often by months, in almost every department.

Understood and agree. However, millions need this paperwork as part of their filing documentation and as far as I know the deadline for filing is still April 18th.

I am aware of those letters. I will not receive either because I don't qualify for the stimulus and have no young children.

I received the letter. You do not need it to file. I just filed, and it was not needed.
