Is my meat bad?

I bought sausage from Nicks and it has been in the fridge for over a week. Is it bad? Can it go bad? Are sausage like Slim Jims and Nanny pam, they never age :shrug:

Geek, Your meat is fine , but I wouldn't let it go past next week in the fridge..............freeze it if you do not use it by middle of next week..
