I dont think a pound of sausage is worth, the stomach aches, runs and horrible horrible, paint pealing eye watering, breathtaking farts it would most certainly create.... It's a ####ing pound of sausage for ####sakes...

3 bucks? 4 bucks? Toss it....

But it's from Nicks NICKS!!!!! I love Nick's meat. And it's your fault anyway.

Isn't there a "Use by Date" on the package?

Nicks doesn't do that. And they tell you 2-3 days for all of their meat...use it or freeze. Seafood, they tell you 24 hours or freeze it. At least, that's what the guys in the Prince Frederick store recommend.

What does it look like, smell like, that is what I always do when Iam not sure about something. If it looks OK then I smell it, if it smells OK, then I cook the heck out of it.
Cook it till very well done! then you can put it back in the frig for a couple of days before you use it.

:yay: :howdy:

With seafood, reagardless of where you purchased it, it should be consumed within 1 to 2 days. I don't freeze seafood I've bought locally, because most started out frozen.

Yeah, I don't either...most of the grocery stores don't tell you that their fresh fish was previously frozen.

An ex of mine used to work for Giant in the Seafood Department (in Montgomery County). I have a hard time buying any seafood from any grocery store.
