My sons scout troop went camping there last fall. Although they told lots of ghost stories and had their cameras ready, no one saw anything on that trip.

we were there camping a few weeks ago. We took the small tour of the prison camp area. The guide said that people have seen ghosts of the prisoners running away thru the field trying to get to the water I guess to swim home. There was a lot of suffering and dying at that time so I wouldn't be surprised if some spirits are still there.

Supposedly it is. My children's great-great-great grandfather was the lightkeeper (Yeatman) who died there. He is well documented and on the books. That side of the family refuses to talk about ghosts.

I lived right next to the monument for a couple of years and never saw a thing there. The only thing that would go bump in the night was when lightening hit the top of the monument with a resulting loud explosion (scarey dat!).

If you want the real ghost hunting, you need to go to St. Michael's Manor across from the monument; unfortunately, it's private property. I used to work for the owners on occasion to help out with their bed and breakfast, winery, etc.

Took this a few miles from there not log ago. I pumped fog into the grave yard to make it look spooky and look what the fog did.
