Is she appropriately...

If she thought you were being unreasonable I should tell her about the Baptist school I attended in the 80s.

Her parents probably never say anything to her about dressing appropriatly. Boy is she going to have a wake up call when she gets out into the workforce.

True - God doesn't care what you wear, but if you have something more appropriate you should wear it to keep the attention away from yourself. If she didn't have anything else to wear then let her go like that. It's better than her not going at all. Coming from Long Island in winter I am surprised she didn't have something warmer to wear!

My husband was told that I intimidated and embarrassed her by asking her to change. I asked her in private one-on-one if she could please change her shirt before we went to church because I didn’t think it was appropriate. I didn't think that this simple request would create her to have a melt down. The halter top wasn't for easy access for the baby because she bottle feeding.

The way she looks I would be shocked if she knows who the father of her baby is.:lmao:

I think you did the right thing. You didn't say it in front of everyone so there shouldn't be a problem. Obviously she whined about it to someone, so she is the one that created the problem. She's your in laws grand daughter. I'd tell them (nicely) to butt out.

I don't even think its appropriate for a walk down the street.

:yeahthat:

Yes, God DOES care what we wear. Read the bible..women are not suppose to dress that way.We are to cover-up certain things, those things are for hubby only....

I have read the Bible numerous times. I am saying that as in if a prostitute wandered in off of the street because she felt drawn - God would not care if she came in her "work clothes" as long as she came. If an alcoholic bum stumbled in reeking of booze and got saved God would not care if his clothes were filthy. I meant it as in if that's all you have to wear - wear it. God would rather have you come in whatever you have then to not come at all. Come in your jeans and Tee shirt rather than not come at all - but come. Dress and suit not required for salvation.

Amen!! God will change the heart, he is the only one who can!! I do agree, and since I have been saved I have changed many parts of my life. Yes, you are very correct. God does care about all of us no matter how we dress, and once we allow him into our hearts the changes will come, and some times it takes time.

What do you think, is she appropriately dressed to attend church on Christmas day? She is my husband's niece and was joining us for Christmas Mass and dinner - I asked her to change her shirt. This has caused some in-law problems.
Was mass held in a nite club?

I'm not sure the amount of cleavage would be so much of an issue, I've seen worse, but the overall costume has to go. It looks ridiculous no matter where she was going. The mis-matched bra poking out with straps all over the place is just butt ugly.

Did she change the shirt?

Was the shirt as revealing when she was standing up? I know I have some tops that tend to show a little more when I am sitting down

That doesn't really look appropriate for church.

but, I guess god made us naked or whatever.

I'd have asked her to cover up too.

Even if she put on a jacket, IMHO it would not be appropriate-(trying to remember the weather that day:confused:) maybe she doesn't go to church or has ever been in a church, but to me, that outfit looks like club wear.:otter:
