They've all reported it. We won't know if it's working until we are out of there. All of the Republicans don't want to bring it up... almost as if they don't want to jinx anything.

That's odd, don't you think? I mean, good news? MSNBC? just doesn't make sense to me.

Everyone is so used to being fed bad news for so long that anything good is impossible to believe. This is really sad....... BUT! Expected.

Good Q. I couldn't hear the TV from where I am so I didn't get that. Either way, it's good news that I knew would get summarily rejected.
John McCain is a Democrat in disguise. What I heard come out of his mouth was more like "things will most likely be determined by the election"
I never heard hims say unequivicably that the surge was working. Hopefully it is though.

Clever terrorists will probably use the time between now and the election to rebuild their networks and train new fanatics. With the increased troop presense, they're not able to do much other than a C-4 vest here and there and those just pizz of the locals since they're the ones getting blown up. Time is on their side. Whoever wins will attempt a troop withdrawal and once our presence is reduced, they can go back to killing those who remain.
