Which was really stupid considering they were selling their own reusable bags right there.Giant here wouldn't let you use your own bags for quite awhile during the lockdown.

When I was in Europe in 1983, the plastic bags were all the rage and I thought they were a bad idea. Fast forward about a year or so and they ended up here in the US.Last week, while my car was being serviced, I walked to Big Lots in PF and bought a few items. At checkout, the young lady informed me that they no longer offer plastic bags and if I wanted a bag, paper bags were available for $.10. As I was killing time and wanted to hit a couple more stores, I gave her the 10 cents.
I suppose it's not a bad thing to reduce plastic and any more, many of the bags are so flimsy (HELL-O, Giant!), if necessary I can use my own. The only downside is I have five house cats whose body functions get put in those grocery bags to be put in the garbage
But if the bag had thispeople were not cleaning the bags, they became a bio hazard
that was my same reaction I don't mind bringing my own bags, but when they do away with them all...what will my poor cat do?Last week, while my car was being serviced, I walked to Big Lots in PF and bought a few items. Goes to environmental programs/education but mostly the General Fund. Baltimore City the merchants keep 90%.In NY (of all states!) they only charge $.05 for a paper bag. I have to wonder how the price is determined. If NY is getting by on $.05 is the extra $.05 MD is charging pure profit?
