Is there low fat salad dressing that tastes good?

Does it exist? I love eating salad, especially once it gets warm outside. But unfortunately, my favorite salad dressings are not the healthiest - ranch and caesar. I may as well eat a burger by the time I add that (and cheese) to my veggies! :killingme

I'm tired of throwing out fat free/low cal salad dressing because it tastes horrible. Has anyone found any brands/flavors of more healthy dressings that actually taste good? I like most salad dressings, just can't seem to find a healthy one that has flavor worth eating. Thanks!

Unfortunately..if you like those two dressings..all of the healthy ones are not going to taste very good..lol. I cut carbs down when I was dieting...so I could have full fat ranch and cheese on my salads :killingme but my second favorite is just reallllly good olive oil or salad oil with a little bit of garlic salt. if the lettuce is good (I detest iceberg) then you don't need anything heavy.

I haven't found any I like. Most just cut the fat and substitute sugar and/or salt.

I've been using an oriental Sesame dressing. It has a strong flavor so you don't need to use much.

That would be a negative.
Well.....actually Kraft makes a low fat; or a low something Italian dressing. I like Italian dressing, period. If it doesn't taste the way I want on any particular day, I add to it.

I don't remember what brand I bought, but it was almost 1/2 oil. I poured most of the oil off into a separate jar and use that for cooking, it's highly sesame flavored. The remaining salad dressing is nearly oil free and tastes just as good.

Didn't notice Ken's had an oriental. I'll look at that one too.

Kens "lite" dressings are full of good flavor and not too many calories. I've found their creamy Caesar, Italian and their Honey mustard to be the best tasting.

Have you looked at Catalina dressing. It has a special flavor all its own so I think the diet is better, kinda like the only diet I would drink is rootbeer and dr pepper. they have strong flavors on their own so the diet ones are much more flavorfull than diet pepsi or coke.

I hear ya. I've done the low carb thing and you sure can eat a "good" salad on that plan! :killingme

How about throwing together a yummy (and easy) balsamic vinaigrette?

I always make that for the inlaws when they're here, they love it. Thanks!

Use salsa.

Good idea, thanks. Just remembered that one of my friends used to use salsa while doing weight watchers because it's zero points.

I'll check them out, thanks.
