Is this a wolf spider?

Found this inside our church this morning. Googled it and it looks like a wolf spider. Is it? Made sure there were no babies on board and then squished it. Nearly gagged when it exploded. Even my 9 year old got a little green in the face.

I thought it was. Only the second one I've seen. Other one was in the house!! I don't mind spiders much but was afraid I'd have a hard time not freaking out during the sermon if I saw that walking towards me. Better it be dead.

The ones I've seen are covered in babies, they look much bigger

Wolf spider are good. Whenever I have a cricket inside the wall of my garage driving me crazy with noise, it's just a matter of time before a wolf spider gobbles him up.

They eat stink bugs, cockroaches, ants, just about anything. Plus they don't make webs so you don't have that to deal with.

The two I've seen were both right up against the baseboards. Do they normally stay close to walls versus venturing out into open space?

I generally "rehome" wolf spiders with the exception of a really ambitious one that was stalking my cat. It had to go.
