Is this the way you want your child treated?

The question I think everyone missed, and no, I didn't read the entire thread, is:

Are terrorists or other evildoers capable of using children to carry bombs onto airplanes? Do they have a sense of responsibility and fair play that precludes them from using children as expendable bomb carriers?

If they can, and will use children then we have to defend against it. If they get an inkling that we don't inspect children, or screen children like we do adults, it won't be long before they try it.

So, in that case, if you don't like the way the TSA is attempting to protect us, how do you propose they do it?

Well Bob, this is an interesting way to look at it, and an interesting question for sure.
let me try.

oh, I know, how about we profile? instead of picking the little white children that come from the family looking like it just stepped off the Leave it to Beaver show, maybe (I know its silly) we can pick out that woman with the full body suit for a dress, you know, the one with thats covered from head to toe? or, maybe we can really be Un-PC and pick the guy holding the koran and speaking with some Islamic accent.
Perhaps if they would screen 100% of these possible animals, maybe those that really dont fit the picture would have less of a problem going through certain steps to get on a plane.

Example would be a flight I took to LA a few years back, after 9/11.
A group of towel heads walked right on the plane, right past the screeners that were busy investigating some 100 year old black woman in a wheel chair.
Just didnt seem right to me.
