His job is political. He's an appointee. A political appointee. As such, he's proven an ability to act accordingly.

His job is not to do the bidding of the president or any other political person, his job is to enforce the law. He swore an oath to that effect. The president has no LEGAL authority to demand any political appointee to thwart the law.

We're not debating the principle. Just the reality. This is what our system of checks and balances was designed to handle. All this sound and fury towards Obama and Hilary and bill and overt corruption is all well and good but the people not doing their job is the opposition party.
