Is Thompson's going out of business?

Does anyone know if Thompson's Furniture is going out of business or just having a big sale? Do they have good deals?

They are liquidating to remodel the store. I wish I had extra money to go shopping there. I love their furniture. I'm not sure how good the deals are because I've been avoiding going in. :nowillpower:

The signs say liquidating to remodel. I assume they will close to remodel with the intention to re-open. Either way, they are NOT going out of business.

I think it is one of those prepackaged sale events where they buy all these flyer's with official sounding terms and slogans, stick them up all over and sell off all the old stagnant stuff that has been in there for years.

Their furniture is really dated style-wise. If you're looking fancy or for that 80s/90s look, it's okay, but it seems they cater to classic style and older folks. I've never seen anything in there I really wanted to think about buying.

I asked a man named Tony and he said they were closing last time I went.
I was wondering if they would use their own merchandise for a remodel?

FWIW, I called them up just for the heck of it and was told that one of their major suppliers is going out of business, so they are liquidating everything they have by them since they will no longer be able to order from them. She said they are not closing, just emptying stuff out so they can re-stock with new inventory from a different supplier(s).

I've been locked in a closet here for 3 days... they feed me leftover bacon from their office party and make me pee in a bucket
