damn it just hit me. 12 years ago today (actually @ 10:55 tonight) she died in my arms in my spare room.........:bawl: :bawl: now I need to go home.... my mascara is all over my face...........
I still have the voice tape from the answering machine of my dad's outgoing message. And he's been dead 13 years. I haven't played it in some time, so I need to find the tape and play it again.

Right Where I Belong
My mom passed away on Monday, October 23, 2000. I spoke to her for the last time on the Friday before. She was never awake long enough after that for me to speak to her again.:frown: I did get to tell her how much I loved her and she said her good-bye's to my two children. I miss her everyday and think of her all the time.:bawl: My dad passed away when I was a baby.

Railroad

Routinely Derailed
My mother lives close by (in Leonardtown) and we talk a lot. I'm her duty driver, too, so I get to take her places as well. She's always worried about imposing or interrupting something I would otherwise be doing. She's 82 and very, very active for her age - it broke her heart just yesterday to decide she's now too old to drive. (She hasn't driven in a year or so, but didn't really get down to it until yesterday.) I'm very lucky to have her here, and it's kinda neat to be old enough now that we understand each other very well. She's a wonderful friend and a great Mom.
