that those that say I am not a Christian use all kinds of vulgarities in their comments.
Matthew 15:10-11

10After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, "Hear and understand.

11"It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man."
Matthew 12:36-37

36"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment.

37"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Being a Christian myself, I have never been bothered by vulgar language. Maybe it's because I grew up in the city, maybe it's because I was a sailor. The verses quoted don't really say anything about vulgarities. We can use very clean words and even Bible verses to make people feel like crap, make people feel smaller. Jesus used his words to change people’s perspective. He went to people where they were and spoke to them in terms that were accessible. He reserved his harsh words for the Church.

I don't see where Jesus had harsh words for the Church unless you are referring to the Temple leaders, the scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees. He certainly had harsh words and more for the sellers in the Temple.

I try to judge my words by what I would say if Jesus could hear every word, because He can. I do not swear, at least not as a regular part of conversation or to express frustration; I do slip up, but ask forgiveness and try not to in the future.. I see cussing as a deficit of lingual skills; the inability to properly express feelings or emotions or ideas properly.

I agree that lingual attacks to degrade, belittle, or hurt are accountable words. I also feel that proclaiming the Truth can be hurtful to the hearer even when the words are not said with the intention of hurt or harm.

Yes, when I said Church I meant Temple Leaders. I compare them to today’s Church. They were the real religious authority of the time. They were following God's rules but had bad intentions, like many church leaders today. Some of them were good people who just got it wrong, some turned and figured out what was going on (NICODEMUS) some were evil (MONEY CHANGERS). But even Jesus told his disciples to obey them because they had Authority.

As far as the "deficit of lingual skills" I see you point but, I would much rather people be authentic even if it is unpleasant.

Of course Christians see atheists, not agnostics, as the unwitting tools of the spirit that is the considered the common image likeness of your avatar.

I find it strange that you use an image the likes of satan as your avatar. Since you don't believe in God, why would you support in any way satan? If one is real, the other is also.

And now I am accused of name calling and threats. Where?

I find it equally funny that those that have disagreement with me do not have the courage to express themselves for all to see. Have courage. I cannot reach through the wires of the Internet to strike you, nor would I anyway. I am a Christian you know.

The fact that I am tried to be tormented lends credence to my stand on Jesus as my Savior.

 I just want to say that I never send red karma to anyone no matter what.

But I am still the rightful King of receiving Red Karma. Rock and roll = :larry:

I never understand why people here can't stick to the original topic and agree or disagree without so much BAD name calling. I might call someone genius, confused, blind or something similar but never some of the names I've been called here. There is no need to attack the person. Stick to the issues. I must say though, as a Christian, being ridiculed for my beliefs (in God & the Bible) is a real affirmation, right 2A? Noah was laughed at until the rains came. Jesus will be laughed at until He returns, so? I don't like the karma thing either. I've only sent 2 green ones but I'll never send red to anyone. Everyone here is human and can express their opinions. (I've actually agreed with JPC twice today. Amazing)!:howdy:

Being ridiculed for belief in the Bible and faith in God is affirmation. I would not be so general as to expand that to "beliefs"; understand what I mean. For instance, if someone ridicules me for believing in CCW and the Second Amendment, that does not confirm my Christianity. If someones ridicules me for posting Bible scripture or saying I believe in Jesus as my Savior and Lord, then that is affirmation.

Take hold of all things Christ died for and embrace that as a Christian, which means free from all the negativity. When you get caught up in trying to point out to others the faults of those that attack you, it is a wasted effort. Even Jesus said many times to his disciples they would be hated, they would be criticized but to press on. Now what if they stopped and said, well I might be this…… but look at you? Or what if they got depressed and felt they couldn’t go to the next town?

It isn’t easy being a Christian; you are expected to roll past all that negativity. I’m to the point now, people can call me whatever they want. I don’t care. I know my faults, every last nasty one of them. I know my limitations. I don’t need to make things clear to anyone by explaining or otherwise People see what they want to see. But I learned the hard way (what is really so easy), what my purpose is in life and there are days, I don’t feel like doing it but I do. Some days, I can drag myself down enough without haters and slingers around to help in the process. :yay:

Thank you for catching that. That's what I meant but I was in a hurry when I typed it in. I'll go back & correct it now in parentheses so they can see it.

You guys can't be serious. I'm not sure that you can compare someone leaving you some karma-comment or a little red square with the persecution of Jesus Christ or Noah.
First, I am not sure why you care so much about karma. It's just a way of people letting you know that they disagree with you. 2A, I know you've sent red.
Second, someone disagreeing with you does not validate your faith. This is dangerous thinking because you end up setting yourself as the only authority and there is no accountability. Sometimes we get crazy ideas or we say or write things that come off wrong and we need to stop and apologize. But if we feel affirmed every time someone disagrees with us, we will travel down the wrong path. Even people you don't like can keep you from reacting improperly (even atheists).
Third, many Christians are rejected by people not because of their faith but because of their personalities. I have seen so many people claim that they are being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel when in reality they are being persecuted because they are acting like an ass. If we are honest, humble and authentic with most people they will listen to our message and maybe agree or disagree but they will treat you well. Perhaps there will be people who persecute you but here in America it's really quite rare. American Christians think that if they aren't being persecuted then they are being Christians so they make up artificial persecution. This is unnecessary. Enjoy the fact that God has allowed you to live in a peaceful liberal society where you can express yourself freely. Paul went though times where he was free from persecution that didn't disqualify his work.

It's a picture, that's all. It doesn't symbolize anything to me - it's just a picture that I like. It means as much to me as a picture of Thor, Jesus, Apollo, or the easter bunny.

It has nothing to do with the little red square and everything to do with the filthy language used that if posted on the open board would get them a time out or banned. Of course, I don't think I am persecuted to the extent of Noah or Jesus. I am amazed you think that. It seems you have a low opinion of me.

While I agree with you overall, I think you are looking too deep into what I said. When I get ridiculed & called names because of my Christian beliefs, I don't get a swelled head. Neither do I compare myself with Jesus or Paul. All I'm wanting is for people to stick to the topic, disagree if they want and leave the words, "idiot, jerk, fool, stupid and the other **** words out. The karma can be turned off & it means nothing to me. I have to regularly keep my tendency to get mad in check but it is getting easier. If I get mad & ridicule someone, respect is lost. When I quote the Bible or speak against immorality, people will get upset. They did with Jesus but He didn't back down because it is the truth. One thing about me is that I won't argue for weeks at a time on one issue. I know when to shut it down and move on. Anything else just promotes arguments instead of a debate. :howdy:

Sorry if I took your comments wrong. I agree with both 2A and ItalianScallion that no one should be disrespectful and no one should be using abusive language or leaving nasty insults in your karma box. It's childish and my advice would be to treat it with benign neglect and ere on the side of forgiveness.

ItalianScallion, I agree that people need to stick to the topic and I apologize for taking this thread off on my own tangent.

2A, you are right about filthy language in the karma zone, maybe it should moderated?
