You guys can't be serious. I'm not sure that you can compare someone leaving you some karma-comment or a little red square with the persecution of Jesus Christ or Noah.
First, I am not sure why you care so much about karma. It's just a way of people letting you know that they disagree with you. 2A, I know you've sent red.
Second, someone disagreeing with you does not validate your faith. This is dangerous thinking because you end up setting yourself as the only authority and there is no accountability. Sometimes we get crazy ideas or we say or write things that come off wrong and we need to stop and apologize. But if we feel affirmed every time someone disagrees with us, we will travel down the wrong path. Even people you don't like can keep you from reacting improperly (even atheists).
Third, many Christians are rejected by people not because of their faith but because of their personalities. I have seen so many people claim that they are being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel when in reality they are being persecuted because they are acting like an ass. If we are honest, humble and authentic with most people they will listen to our message and maybe agree or disagree but they will treat you well. Perhaps there will be people who persecute you but here in America it's really quite rare. American Christians think that if they aren't being persecuted then they are being Christians so they make up artificial persecution. This is unnecessary. Enjoy the fact that God has allowed you to live in a peaceful liberal society where you can express yourself freely. Paul went though times where he was free from persecution that didn't disqualify his work.

I was getting ready to point that out in a quote but read further and saw that you had already addressed it.
2A and Italian know better, they are insightful enough to realize that karma on SoMD is not a way to "check" their affirmation. (I hope )

You have maxed-out krama. Apparently more people like you than don't. You have to be doing something right.

There's a couple of people - who will remain nameless - that I'd personally like to see stop posting, but you're not one of them.

And I daresay that even people who disagree with you politically and religiously probably enjoy reading your posts, even if they rail against them. There's another few people - also nameless - who I disagree with on almost everything they say, but I enjoy reading their stuff, and have even tossed some green to on occasion.

I personally don't like name calling on any level because I know I deserve my share being called names and know how much I hate it. The old "Do unto others..." always comes to mind.

Didn't come off wrong. I just took it to heart. The words of a brother in Jesus are not to be taken lightly.

And I didn't say I would quit posting; just that it would be easier. It is hard to try to walk in Jesus' footsteps, downright impossible, but that is what we are to strive for. Must admit, sometimes I get disheartened. I know I come off as being arrogant or whatever sometimes and I don't mean to. The Bible tells me I am to love even my enemies; that is hard. I find it hard to love those I don't even know, like JPC, who are neither enemy nor friend much less loving enemies. I can't even think of a personal enemy, but I guess I must have some.

It's not easy for me either. I'm not so sure that Jesus meant that loving our enemies meant we had to like them. I got the feeling Jesus disliked the Sanhedrin and Jewish leaders of his day. I also don't interpret this love as one that is in any way similar to how you love your spouse or family member or good friend. It's more of a love that requires us to try to reach out and pray for their salvation. But I also hold a certain level of disgust towards people that consciously aim to harm others or put other’s welfare at risk for their own selfish, menial gain. But you are well-versed on these things and don’t need me to remind you of them.
