I have this one downloaded of some Al Q dude getting shotting down ...

he catches 3-5 rounds from a machine gun ...

In My Opinion
if only he could have done this in the U.S
the police would have been put on leave while it was determined if they should have shot him or not.
the ACLU would have sent lawyers to find out why his rights had been violated
his parents, would have become instantly rich because the po po had no right shooting him like that, he was only on his way to a construction job to get some money to take care of his babies.

This kid is off duty military and ALLOWED TO CARRY A CONCEALED SIDEARM.
No fuss, no fuss. Proper training and, more importantly, a level headed mindset.

Look at the video; He obviously climbed up on the front end loader (it is NOT a bulldozer!) as he was obviously trying to get the guy to stop peacefully. Maybe something was wrong? Seizure? Heart attack? Who knows. Point being his first response was NOT opening fire. He did not shoot until the driver started moving again and then only after he had crushed another vehicle.

He acted responsibly and effectively as the situation called for amidst a sea of people of varying reactions of shock and horror and anger and fear and in the middle of a chaotic seen of damage and danger.

Also of note was how matter of fact he was when the shooting was done. He stepped aside to allow the EMT to get to work and got out of the way.

Pretty damn impressive.

I guess he did not use a head shot then ........... :whistle:


I did a poof of glass, as a bullet either went or came out ...

...given that the thing was moving and that the kid seemed rather in control, ie, well trained, that he shot COM, repeatedly, until the desired effect was reach; CNS hit. I counted four. That's pretty damn good. Plus, head shots with a pistol round are dangerous; ricochets.

Hollywood has long since trained us that a .22 kills people instantly, every time, regardless of where it hits.

Yeah the clueless masses maybe, although the warning on a box of .22 cartridges does say dangerous 1.5 miles ....

...that's the point; as our knowledge about something decreases (or never exists) our fear levels rocket.

Can you imagine if the American left decided they truly were fans of multiculturalism and tolerance and understanding?

We'd know all sorts of stuff about guns that would remove the stereotypes and stigmas, hence the fears, they attach to them. There's be talking guns on Disney movies that were both the bad guys AND the good guys that save the day.

There's be rough and dangerous looking gun owners helping little old ladies safely across the street and getting kittens, safely, out of trees, and men with guns who stop the bad guy so that a car full of orphans that used to be terrified of the bad gun man don't get crushed to death by a psycho with a front end loader.

Hollywood has also trained us a silencer is effective on a pistol.
