The military should have the right to censor anything that comes out of the media during wartime that will endanger or cause to endanger troops, etc. And I say this only because the news media is too stupid to know what and what not to say.

Good point. I'm uncomfortable with that kind of censorship as a matter of general principle, but I understand the need for it as a matter of national security. Still, I think most politicians cannot resist the temptation to misuse wartime censorship to cover up their own malfeasance or mistakes. I don't have any ideas on how to prevent that power from being misused.

And for decency, I can imagine, say, a Democratic president ordering the FCC to selectively enforce decency on Fox's entertaiment shows purely to punish Fox News.
