It doesn't matter that it is American history......

Good. Long overdue. Anyone who wishes to fetishize the losers with participation trophies, by all means buy them up and keep them on private property.

Yep, let's get rid of the Alamo, Point Lookout memorial, George Floyd Square, and a host of other tributes to losers.

And your jumping to fetishism is very telling. Are you planning on erecting your own special trophy?

Honestly I don't care that much about statues or renaming buildings. I do care about preserving historical sites/towns and museums - if they demolished Tombstone AZ it would break my heart - but statues and building names are fairly meaningless, historically speaking.

What chaps my ass is little whiny bitches throwing a tantrum and getting their way. It's like at the Walmart, Brattica is screaming in the buggy and Mumsy is promising treats and what have you, anything to get the little ahole to STFU. That kid is nothing to me. I'll never see it again and it doesn't impact my life even a tiny bit. It's just the idea of this little monster screaming and getting her way, and even more the wimpshit candy assery of the mom appeasing the brat instead of beating her ass for her.

And most of you already know my feelings on idolizing the Confederacy, so I won't even go into that part.

As I age, I become a bit more happy that I won't be around to see the consequences of all of this foolish erasing of certain parts of our history. (I am concerned for our grandchildren, however.)

History is NOT all good and loving and "nice" to people. It involves people and people are messy creatures full of both virtues AND faults. How can you try to fully understand the actions taken by people in the past, if you don't have the FULL story? Understanding the faults goes a long way towards explaining WHY history happened the way that it did. It is impossible to look at/understand history if you leave out the negative! What gets me is the hypocrisy in these actions.

Then again, the schools have basically written off the study of Social Studies (history, etc.), in favor of a focus on reading, math and science to appease the Government's insistence on Testing. Keep the people stupid...

You've been reported for making too much sense.

George and the other heroine, Brianna Taylor shall not be desiccated, they were sinless, pure, innocence when their lives were viciously snuffed out by the Gestapo

Where did you get the crazy idea the public schools are focusing on, well, anything?
I worked there and my school DID focus on the things that I mentioned, in between having to "parent" the children because evidently some of the parents were falling down on the job.

A discrete hip check can sometimes work wonders.

Every time I speak to someone who is an employer I hear the same story. Kids do not know how to work. They don't know how to get to work on time and once there they don't want to do anything.

At Lowe's, have found that about 2/3 of the folks 2/3 my age have a good work ethic. Might be skewed here due to a lot of them are children of military or naval families.

I would think that it would be skewed because of the military connection. In addition, there is a distinct difference in work ethic between rural and urban locations as well. It used to be a much larger distinction but it is still there. If the parent/s have a good work ethic, so will the children. And there are always some children who rise above bad circumstances. We are running into problems because the current culture is placing an emphasis on blaming others for problems instead of accepting personal responsibility. And THAT is a problem...

This is something that MANY teachers have been trying to point out as being a result of not holding students accountable for their efforts and work in school. We are ignored, and we are tired of being ignored. It's like standing beside a house on fire on the lower right corner, telling the fire department exactly where the fire is located, and then having to stand by and watch them chop down the front door of a house that is 4 houses away. At some point, you just get tired of trying to save people when folks won't listen to you. So, you decide to let them handle the dumpster fires without you because there are better things to do in life than giving yourself a concussion by beating your head against a concrete wall.

Results = Teacher shortage
