So all black people are the same huh? If you think this way, then you are a racist. For one, I am a well-educated and respected black woman, and I NEVER pull out the race card. I think that it is shallow for people to judge someone because of their race, people can't change the way that they're born. I grew up in a great family that taught me respect. I remember being taunted by a group of upper classmen white girls when I went to school at St. Mary's Ryken simply because I was black (not pulling out the race card, but they told me that's why they taunted me), but I was the bigger person and just let it go. I didn't say, "Well all those white people are the same!", because they are not. What I was dealing with was just a small group of ignorant white chicks that wanted to pick on the black chick for no reason at all. I'm sorry with what happened to your kids, but don't blame it on the entire black race...that's just ignorant and shallow! Look at it from the other side, you wouldn't want someone to hate your children just because what they were born with.

As with anything, anywhere - it is perception. Whenever you, me, we are out and about in a mall, store, movies we are bound to see a group of black youth acting like fools and the stereotype sticks. Yes, truthfully it is sad the stereotype happens but it is the way it happens.
Everyone sees it, whether someone admits to it is another thing. When the admittion (sp?) is made, the assumption of :racist: is made.
Most of us really know that all blacks are not the same - the small majority who truly believes they are are truly racists... it is the exact same for whites as your blanket statement below.
BTW - this group of black youth were "hating her children" because of how they were born (white)... now all of sudden the white people on this board are racists because we are talking about it?

BUT this is soo true - and I am not talking about just black gangs, God knows I do not want to be portrayed as a racist...The Hispanic gangs are ruthless - a group of hispanics killed a hispanic 20-something in PG County this weekend by hitting him with a car - cold-blooded murder. Talk about ruthless
PG County gang task force is investigating and they think it stems from a property damage incident 2 weeks ago...

This is why we can never have conversations in this country about race. As soon as someone says something that someone else doesn't like they are labled a racist. I wish people would admit that there are racists in every race and it is not just whites against everyone else. Political correctness will kill our country. Thugs are thugs no matter what the color of their skin is.

Ok I've kept my mouth shut long enough. can't do it anymore after this reply! My son was her 16 y/o son's friend that was with them. When my son was telling me what happened saturday night all I could do was shake my head because that's all you really can do now. I have done my hardest to teach my children that they should never judge someone by the color of their skin. but what we have now a days is the judgement of them everyday here because of the lack of color that they have on their skin! We haven't lived in Maryland even a year and he has experienced more racism towards him(from the black community) than anywhere else we have ever lived!
So please explain to me MDGIRLIE(since you're a well educated black woman) how am I as a parent suppose to teach my children NOT to be racist when that's what your race has done to him? I'm not saying all black people are bad and all black people act this way because I know some very well educated black people that wouldn't even think twice about being stupid and ignorant and treat people this away no matter what their skin color is!

Well I don't think your quote was a well educated and thought out quote because that's all you're doing is judging by telling us about the White girls taunting you in school. This whole thread is exactly why I avoid the theaters around here. I go out of my way to go to the movies in the Annapolis mall, or in Arundel Mills, much better theaters than in Waldorf and Great Mills. Tends to be a better crowd of people up that way too. Plus the seats, screens, and sound is so much better as well. I hate the waldorf movies, but everytime I'm there they have a Chuck county cop stationed there. But, I must say I don't particulary(sp) like the crowd up there. It's everybody up there white, black, hispanic, there just so rude and ignorant.
But I must say,me and my parents were in P.G. county going to a family party, and this car cut in front of us, and my dad honked the horn, and this black guy hung half way out the car( he actually looked like lil' wayne) and repeatedly said " f you f***ING whiteys" I almost wanted to duck, when the other guy got out the other window, needless to say it pissed me off. It's guys like that that give people the narrow view of a race, that makes them hate all the others, and thats not the right thing to do...Like the saying a couple bad apples spoiled the whole bunch. It's a sad thing that everything has to boil down to race.

If a nicely dressed black gentleman approached me in a deserted parking lot, I wouldn't look twice at him. But if a young thug dude approached me, I'd be on alert. There's a lot more to it than just skin color.

Big freakin deal. I know for a fact that "white kids" act the same way in the movie theatres not just the "black kids" instead of coming on here and saying some teenagers you had to refer to them as black why? And if it was white teenagers acting like this would you even care? I say no you are just racist. so Shut up and get a freakin life.

I teach my kids right from wrong I do not teach them to hate a race nor do I talk bad about a race b/c thats weir hatred comes from, from the parents. So thank you to every human out here that has to deal with your racism plus your childrens!
