It's funny that today isn't the warmest day in more than 50 years, but you still blame global warming.
Huh? What exactly are you trying to say with that sentence?

A snippet from today's National Weather Service Climate Report at National Airport:

WEATHER ITEM OBSERVED TIME RECORD YEAR NORMAL DEPARTURE LAST
VALUE (LST) VALUE VALUE FROM YEAR
NORMAL
..................................................................
TEMPERATURE (F)
TODAY
MAXIMUM 73R 237 PM 72 1950 43 30 43
Broke the record high at 2:37pm. 73 degrees

Since this is somd.com, which happens to stand for Southern MARYLAND, I happen to consider Maryland values a little more relevant than Northern Virginia. Your source proves me right.

I wonder why the media isn't :deadhorse El Nino this year?

It's an El Nino year this year - thus the light hurricane season, and exceptionally mild winter - but I've only heard this mentioned in the news, like once.

I remember the previous El Nino (1996-97?) we had - you couldn't go 20 minutes without hearing the words "el nino".
Probably because if they mentioned el Nino, they wouldn't be able to blame it on global warming

For those traveling to the point, look for my son and I flying kites. Then stop by and say :howdy: We usually fly next to the lighthouse, today I enjoyed the weather flying in a field at the foot of the bridge in Calvert.
