I hope you're right because everyone I know who has upgraded, after Verizon changed the data pricing, had to go with the new pricing structure. In other words, the grandfathering lasts for the life of the current contract. Upgrading starts a new contract. New contract, new terms. Like I said, I hope you're right.
I just upgraded my phone in Sept. and was told then, that if you are on the old plan you stay on the old plan unless you change it.

Now granted they could change this at any time.

I upgraded at the kiosk in BJs. When I tried out the bionic, I ordered that from the website and it also kept my unlimited plan.

I went and exchanged for my Rezound today and so far am very happy with the decision.

I have two extra screen protectors for the Nexus if anyone wants them.

Got my nexus over the holiday. Aside from some signal issues that theyre supposed to be patching, its great :)
