It's GONE!!!!!!

My 1963 40 HP Evinrude is GONE!

When my buddy lucked into a DEAL (STEAL more like it) on a 2002 Yamaha 4-stroke for my little 15' boat, I no longer had a need for the old 'Rude. Bought it off eBay a couple months ago, and never had time to really work on it. Bought it for $25 (plus gave the forumite who brought it down from Pa for me some "thank you" money for saving me the drive) and sold it for $50.00. Figure I broke even on the total deal. I'm just glad to have it out of the barn.

What a big "thank you". Whopping $25.
He was coming down to go hunting, and the motor was within spitting distance of where he lived. He offered to pick it up for me. I gave him the money without mention, and when he realized it, he tried to send it back to me, thinking it was an error on my part. He knew that I appreciated what he had done for me, and no $$ was expected. I don't know about you, but to me, it is not an issue of the AMOUNT of money, I'd just be thankful that if I did a favor for somebody, and they wanted to give me some money to cover gas/time, I'm not gonna complain about the amount.

You sound like the grandma that wrote to Dear Abby recently complaining that her grandson did not bring her a souvenier T-shirt when he came home for 2 weeks R&R from Iraq. :duh:

Does this mean when cyphertext comes home in a couple weeks I shouldn't expect a t-shirt?
