Had it down at the end of Bauer Road last week. Still cannot get 4G to stick for long in the office at work though.

Didnt have it by the Ridge transfer station, but did up by the Retrievers Grill. Holy heck, is it fast. Still getting used to the sheer size of the new phone. Coming from the OG Droid the the Razr HD Maxx is like going from the Neon to the Charger.

I've got 4g everywhere South of the base.. St Inigoes, Ridge Market, Dameron... Have our home network set up using a 4g air card.

I started out with a Droid 3, so I was pretty late to the smart phone arena. Switched up to a Bionic that I had picked up off of a work friend. The lack of a physical key board took some getting used to, and the battery on the D3 lasted forever 2-3 days with moderate usage. If Motorola doesnt release ICS by the end of the year I get a $100 credit on them for a new Moto phone so we shall see what that has to offer.

In the heart of LP i get anywhere from 12 mbps -24 mbps. I get 16 mbps through metrocast and the router, but i do not have a data cap with metrocast so it winds hands down.

I just got an OS update on my android phone (Samsung Galaxy SII on Sprint); was that the upgrade to "Jelly Bean"?

Not sure but dont think so. Looks like Sprint has been rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich.

Android version history - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

find your Settings page, the last item on there should be "About Phone", open that, a little ways down should be a listing for "Android Version". Mine reads 4.04, which is the latest ICS version. Samsunh has said that the SII will get JB before the end of the year, but the US market will get it last.

Thanks; mine is on 4.0.4 as well. I did get the initial ICS about a month ago, and this just must be an upgade to it. I know that the ICS upgrade has been poorly received by Sprint users, and I agree that it has created some problems.

Dummy here, I just checked my Droid and I have Android version 2.3.4

Should I be updating this? If so, how am I supposed to do that?

The original Droid? That's probably about as up-to-date as you are going to get (the 3.0 series was for tablets only).

No, but you're also stuck at 2.3.4 unless you want to get into rooting and putting custom ROMs on it. Yeah, didn't think so.

Tried both CM9 and the other ICS roms on the D3, being that it was ported from the Galaxy Nexus with no physical keyboard the phone acted all sorts of stupid. Went back to Liberty 3 V2.0 before giving it to the fiance. I have had good luck with Eclipse 3.0 on the Bionic, have not tried any ICS roms though been waiting for the official soak test to roll out. From what I have been hearing the Bionic will not recieve the 4.1 update, 4.0? will be the highest update. Then again Moto has also said the ICS will be on the phone every quarter since the begining of the year, it keeps getting pushed back.

I have an upgrade available in April so I might look into the newest offerings from Samsung or possible stick with a RAZR MAXX HD depending on the new toys at the time.

After 24 hours, pretty happy with the Maxx HD. Went 24 hours on one full charge with about %25 charge left after that 24 hours. Good amount of usage, lots of downloads setting up apps, wifi and 4G on the whole time, looking at youtube videos to see the large screen in action. Some Google Earth, setting up company email, etc.

I want to note, that Swype just flat rocks. Had a little trepidation going no keyboard, after using a hard keyboard these last two years. After less than two days, Swype is becoming second nature and easy to use. Words like anticipate and others that long are easy to nail first try.
