Thanks everyone! Baby B did wind up making it home on Monday - I am so excited, and sleep deprived, having him home! The hospital had him on a strict every 3 hour feeding schedule to make sure he gets a certain amount of calories so that's tough, but I'm managing good. Aside from feeding time he's a really good sleeper!

I have a high level of guilt that I'm able to have this time with Baby B while Baby A remains ill in the hospital. Two days ago Baby A came down with a new infection. Because blood & urine cultures have been negative, they are associating it with a stricture left behind after the NEC disease. They're sure about the stricture but were hoping he'd grow out of it. Now that it's causing so many problems for him they're planning operate Monday or Tuesday to remove the stricture. Visiting him has been tough - his WBC is so low I have to wear gloves, a gown and a mask so I can't even touch his skin or kiss him good bye. It genuinely hurts me to see him like that. I also got to see him as his pain meds ran low and it devastated me to see him in so much pain - he was screaming and literally crawling up his isolette to find comfort. They gave him pain meds and I just cried for him - how I ache to have him home in my arms where he belongs.

I will download some new pics soon.

Oh sweety I know there is nothing worse than seeing one of your babies in pain. Hang in there the doctors are doing their very best to make him get well. Pray and pray a lot. I'm sure you already do. I'm also sure that soon he will be well enough to come home too. Just let him feel your love while your with him and it will give him plenty of will to fight. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this hard time. :huggy:

I've been following your threads about Your baby's.I am sooo happy for you to bring one baby home. I'm sure he will totally understand you leaving him home while you spend time with the other. :yahoo::clap: Was just wondering how Baby b is doing at home. And how Baby A is doing after the surgery (hope i didn't miss that in another thread somewhere) I hope and pray for the day baby A comes home. There is nothing like a mommies love and a siblings love.:huggy: :smooch: :baby::baby: Great job hanging in there.
