It's raining Piggies!

Someone abandoned 12 guinea pigs of various ages in a cardboard box in the rain next to a dumpster at a pet store. An employee taking out the trash found the box and started seeking help for the guinea pigs. We took in two, adding the one we have makes three.

We need piggy hay and more water bottles HELP ....... Thank you for your continued support . We will post when they are available for adoption.

The newest piggy rescues were health checked today (necessary because the person who collected them from the box said she thought that Billy had sneezed and she suspected that Sally was pregnant so we needed to have a health check to be sure that they weren't sick and to check the status of Sally in case she was pregnant). Pregnancy in Sally is uncertain at this time, so we'll have to wait a few weeks and see.

The bill to get them health checked was $190 total. We're hoping to get some help from the community to pay for that as our rescue account is empty due to other recent critter expenses.

Someone is going to come by to bring their leftover supplies after their piggy of 9 years died. With 3 piggies here now all donations help.

We received a generous goods donation from someone who's piggy died after 8 years of being with them and they donated their leftover supplies and apparently they were the type that stocked up because they gave us three bags of bedding and two boxes of hay (9 lb boxes) and also what looked like a very well kept extra large guinea pig cage and what I did was I transferred the two boys into the extra large cage and put a divider in the middle and we're going to do play sessions in a neutral area and once the boys are getting along I will remove the divider to confirm that they are getting along well 24/7 and then those two boys will be available for adoption.
