Fondue! I haven't had that in years.

What do you use for fondue & what is your recipe?

I use meat/steak for the fondue. Never tried the cheese or chocolate kind before. I use my mom's recipes for the sauces. I can post them later today if anyone is interested.

Throwing the deuces
Horseradish Sauce

1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp horseradish
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
Combine all ingredients and refridgerate


Remoulande Sauce

1 cup Miracle Whip
1/2 onion chopped fine
1 hard boiled egg chopped fine
2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp mustard
Mix and chill


Garlic Butter Sauce

1/2 cup softened butter whipped until fluffy
1 tbsp parsley
1 clove garlic grated
Chill and serve at room temperature


Hot and Spicy

1 cup chili sauce
1/2 chopped onion
3 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp salad oil
1 tsp brown sugar
2 tsp vinegar
1 clove garlic grated
1/2 tsp Tabasco
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 salt
Chill and serve


** My mom recommends that the sauces be made a day or two before you use them. They seem to get better the longer they sit **

Seemed right for the cold and rainy weather: homemade turkey noodle soup with dumplings...OMG....this is the best batch I have ever made :drool:

Rockfish in a butter-lemon-pepper sauce, rice pilaf and green beans.

It was sooo dang good. :drool:
