I went with a NAS in the house, for less than $300 I have a RAID 0 (mirrored) device with 500GB of storage. it sits on the network and automatically spins the drives up and down (after 20 minutes of non-activity)

I'd put a pair or Tb drives in that sucker ..... or maybe even 1.5 Tb's

what no Mac Support ............
