I have 4 rescue horses (out of 11), 6 rescue cats (out of 8) and 1 rescue dog (out of 5- our oldest one is getting up there and sadly, it is getting to be about that time :( )

Then you know how important it is to stop making more dogs. Please let this be your last litter.

:yeahthat:

Pictures of puppies and kittens can make us all go "Aww!" but the pics of a rescued dog or cat make us melt.

:yay: to all reading this who have rescued (even if you are still breeding) Hopefully, you will all see the disparity between a cute baby and an adult who was not taken care of, or became an inconvenience, and ends up in a shelter.

I tend to go more off of temperament, correct conformation, etc..

Good to hear! They are very cute!

Based on the standard, which of the puppies is you favorite as far as conformation. Wich will excel in the show ring? Are there particular strengths they have, or faults? This must have been a wonderful learning experience on what conformation traits are passed on, and temperment as well.

Well, they are still a bit small to judge yet :)
Head angulation is very nice on mother/father- mther has more ideal "triangle" head- very symetrical, and ears as well.

they both have nice correct straight legs- the female toes out very slightly.

Level topline- the male might be a bit long, but the felame has wonderful legnth.

The male is HUGE and towers my female. She is very petite and refined, and he has more body and height even though they are both long legged.
nice.

The temperment on both is exceptional. the female very quiet/shy type and the male very friendly and outgoing. neither has the typical "jack that never stops" thing going on. You can play and tell them, Ok, done, and they will stop. They are very respectful and listen very well compared with the normal short attention span and hyperness of a typical jack. If anything, I would fault them tempement wise.... they learn too fast and are too smart!! :)

I was at Tidewater Vet the other day picking up meds. On the wall is an advertisement for puppies...they listed about 9-12 different breeds on the ad:eyebrow:. They had a local phone number but no name.

Who is this??? Does anyone know?

If you want some entertainment, check out this puppy mill. They have so many made up "breeds" it's not even funny. :ohwell:

Holy CRAP! 800 bucks for a MUTT!! Sooo a puppy mill

:yeahthat: And from her website... Puppies are sold with FULL papers unless otherwise agreed upon by seller and buyer or specified by an individual puppy which would be in the puppies description near his price.

How the heck is she issuing papers on mixed breeds...:twitch:

Didn't you see the :bs: registration organizations listed on her website.

I wonder if you get a tax break for buying one of those hybrids.

They should... apparently they are energy efficient....:eyebrow:

A note to remember: Puppies are babies and just like human babies they need their rest and as they are growing they will sleep a lot.
