Is that the place that always has coupons for buy one dinner get one free?

When I see those types of coupons it just gives me a bad vibe, most really good restaurants dont need to get you in the door w/a coupon ya know.

I haven't been in probably 4 years. They started to decline IMO

It's the same owners as Vincenzo's w/ a different chef, right? I liked Vincenzo's.

I *think* the former bartender took it over with a new Chef. Not certain though. Vincenzo does guest cooking classes at Quality Street.

DiGiovanni's used to be good. What else is good there?

P Fred Stoney's sucks. I keep giving them chances, but I am done.

Both Solomons Stoney's suck. Their crab cakes are terrible. Used to be the best. Sometimes when you get too big things suffer. That appears to be the case.

Yeah... different owner than P. Fred though. Same owner for Broomes Island & Solomons. I am not a fan of the Broomes Island one either. Never even tried Solomons.

one day the dark will end
I had lunch at Jaspers, talked with the manager and they are closing because the owner of the building ( not Jaspers) filed bankruptcy a while ago...and now the bank wants the building SOLD. Jaspers was leasing it from the bank, but the bank wants done with the case...and plan on selling the building as soon as they can get rid of it.

The owner of the building made a deal with jaspers in the beginning...he would build a building for them, they do the intersnals and run Jaspers.
Building owner expected bigger returns...even though Jasper is doing well, it was not enough.

Owner could not keep up with his debt, both personal and the building and the bank came calling.

It is not 100% dead..there is still some hope...but not a lot.

Jaspers has 110 employees that will be out of work in 3 weeks....

There is a new BBQ place opening up in St. Marys and they have offerd to hire from Jaspers. That training begins Nov. 4th.

Jaspers is opening a new place in Frederick, MD.

Another place beginning to struggle from high building costs and fees is Outback.

I had a great lunch as usual and will miss Jaspers when they close.

I think I need to find me a dinner date.
