Jaspers in PF last day is October 31. Guess it is official, I was hoping they would work something out and keep it open! Hate it for all the employees there. They have a great staff there now....

I went there last night for a couple of hours and was talking to the bar tenders about it. They said there is going to be a meeting Monday the 31st about it. The employees were told that there is actually a slight chance that they might come to an agreement about the lease. They said to wait until then to know for sure...

That'd be great but I won't get my hopes up. We went there Thursday night and it seems like many of the employees luckily have already found new jobs. Enjoyed my last chicken madiera and chop house salad there. Great service and food as usual. We're sad to see them go. We always take out of town guests there around Christmas because they decorate it beautifully. Wonder what will take it's place?

Definitely can't get your hopes up just to have them dashed later. I heard from some of the help that they have already applied for and gotten jobs elsewhere but they probably won't go if Jaspers remains open. I might be going there for dinner tomorrow with some friends but I'm not sure yet...

Source pleezee?

I just so happened to talk to someone today who's sister worked at Jaspers since it opened. They're definitely closed, someone even came in at midnight 11/1 to kick them out.....wth is that all about? She said quite a few of the employees are headed down to Buffalo Wild Wings in SMC. Her sister is really sad about them closing.

Ok thanks. Hopefully they'll open up again soon somewhere in PF.

On Nov. 8, 2011 at 8:10 a.m., Trooper First Class Evans responded to a vacant building on Sherry Lane in Prince Frederick, formerly Jasper’s Restaurant, for a report of a man with a gun.

Investigation revealed that Thomas L. Bolander, 50 of West River, was involved in a dispute about items being removed from the building by the former owner. Bolander arrived at the site and brandished a shotgun while ordering workers out of the building. One of the witnesses disarmed Bolander and Troopers arrived shortly afterward. Sgt. Roach from the Calvert Investigative Team responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.

Bolander has been charged with assault.

He's also being laughed at for being disarmed by a waitress.

I know it sounds sexist, live with it.
