:flowers: What do y'all think about the new song "Jesus take the wheel", by American Idol 2005 winner Carrie Underwood?

American Idol on Fox T.V. website here.

Carrie Underwood Official website here.

Does it not fit as a new Christian Song? I think it fits quite well indeed.

:yay: As the big contest winner, she had a lot of pressure and a lot of people concerned about what would be on her first album and the producers must have thought hard about the front foremost track and her first video too being named after Jesus and her song singing Jesus take the... Jesus take... Jesus... over and over in the chorus. I think Carrie Underwood is most probably a southern Baptist and her song of "Jesus take the wheel" is a bold and brave and daring thing for her to do. I like to see courage in a performer.

It could have flopped or failed so one would expect the producers to come out with some safe and politically correct learics. Of course it could be that Jesus is a safe way to go?????? The song even has a metaphor of Jesus take the wheel of her life and not just the wheel of the car so that song comes out like a two edged sword striking the flesh and the spirit.

Her album / CD did come out in November and it does mention Christmas in the opening lines and Country music does some times have a Christian base in it so she did have some sound props for the song but I think Carrie Underwood was really giving a testimonial and a witness for Christianity and so I do like the song very much indeed.

What does y'all think bout it?

I think next time you think about painting insane things on government property you should ask Jesus to take your wheel.

In My Opinion
So let me see if I understand the situation completely.

here you are at the mall, you are running down the main isle of the mall with stolen spray paint cans in your pockets, suddenly, as you are running past the TV store, you hear a song about Jesus.
You stop, and on 37 tvs right in front of you is this girl singing about Jesus taking control of her life.

you drop the spray paint cans, drop to your knees and ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins, then as you are dragged out of the mall by your feet, face down, you are writing a check for back child support to reimburse your wife.

God does work in mysterious ways does he not?

Step away from the computer. There are children at that library who have an honest reason to learn while you post your drivel. You are depriving them of what is rightfully theirs, just as you did with your own son.

Don't deny what you have already admitted. Or was that one of your other personalities?

Tell me specifically what is blind and baseless, if you have the courage.
