:howdy: I have said to stop the greed of the Base expansion. That will not close down the Base. It will be here for many long years to come. Putting out the greed is a righteous thing to do and right things will never really hurt you. Have faith and believe that right actions always give us right results.

You will keep your job so long as you do not work for the Devil and if you do then it would be better to loose it.

Jesus is the way. Trust, hope and faith.

Oh yes i am pretty tight with the devil. and the inner workings. :buttkick:

duh.........you have stated in your posts that you want to stop expanding the base. And push out big companies. You do that............and we are out of a job. And you Sir would be out of office. But that would be if you even made it there, which i doubt. But then hell could freeze over

:flowers: When people put their trust in mankind and trust for your betterment is dependant on the Navy Base then it is the priorities that are mixed up.

Christ said to look at the sparrows that neither sow nor reap but their Father in Heaven sees when one of them fall from a tree. Are not ye worth more than a sparrow? Fear not.

It is a political ploy that if we stop the greed at the Base then the Base might close and St. Mary's County will suffer. It is a political ploy based on fear. To frighten the citizens into giving away our power so that the greed can go unstopped.

Never will doing the right thing cause any of us any real harm. It will even benefit the greedy to put a stop to them. Have faith and let Hell freeze over..

Hey dummy. The base isn't in district 29B. Maybe you should look at some welfare housing in 29C so you can run there.

:flowers: What do y'all think about the new song "Jesus take the wheel", by American Idol 2005 winner Carrie Underwood?

American Idol on Fox T.V. website here.

Carrie Underwood Official website here.

Does it not fit as a new Christian Song? I think it fits quite well indeed.

:bigwhoop: I am here repenting of what I wrote because even though I still like Carrie Underwood, the song "Jesus Take The Wheel" is not a worthy song at all. The song is wrong.

This past weekend I saw an interview with the heroine Ashley Smith, one of her links here,
Ashley Smith, Atlanta Courthouse shooting, An Unlikely Angel.

That interview is not on the link but Ashley Smith said that a few years ago she was driving her car and wanting to get closer to God so she decided to let go of the stearing wheel of her car to let Jesus drive and of course the car crashed and she was horribly injured and almost died. So now I see that some people will test God by the antics that the song "Jesus Take The Wheel" is preaching and Ashley Smith did the fool thing long before Carrie Underwood's song came out so now I must repent of supporting that fool song and say do not give Jesus the driving wheel of the car.

:yay: The far more real and true message of Christ is for us to take control of our own lives. He does not posess people like a deamon would do. The scriptures say that we must not put God to the test. He tells us how to drive our own life and then we are expected to drive our own lives and not to surrender control over to some invisible Him.

I am probably going to kick myself later for even responding to this...but..

The song is about a girl going home to see her parents for Christmas, not paying attention because she has alot on her mind, going too fast and hitting a sheet of black ice. An accident that changes the way she looks at her life. It's not about a girl trying to kill herself.

:huggy: The point is that the song is fundamentally wrong. Even in a storm at Christmastime one must not let go of a car stearing wheel expecting God or Jesus to take the wheel. Plus the comparison that she wants Jesus to take over her life is fundamentaly wrong too. It is like praying for, God help her because she sure is not going to help herself. The reality is that God and Jesus tells us all to do right ourselves but the song is saying that she wants Jesus to make her do right as if it were impossible for us to do it ourselves.

SO Jesus is not to be taking over anybody's wheel or their life as He has told us to drive our own lives ourselves according to the instructions in the Bible. Thus that song is fundamentally wrong and I was wrong to endorse it.

:yay: And Ashley Smith was foolish enough to think that she could actually physically let Jesus take her own car driving wheel ( not as attempting suicide but as testing God) and thus she crashed and severely injured herself. And she did this stupid act years before that song came out so the fool mentality must be out there some where. So the song is wrong.
