Whenever they're caught they want to move on.I think what astonishes me about this is - by this time the whole world knows the entire Trump collusion story was a fabricated smear story originating with the Clinton campaign, and we endured almost three years of pointless investigations. The primary voices throughout the debacle KNEW from the beginning - it was all crap and predicated on completely made up crap. (And yeah, I actually wrote "crap" both times).
But there's a bit of weariness in the press which goes - it's over, it was years ago, can't we just move on?
And I'm saying -
"The whole country is wasting a lot of bandwidth over Depp and Heard - and they broke up in 2016. That's old news, but the daily trial events and details are flooding the airwaves - over news that is essentially, old. I just heard Ellen Barkin pule on the screen, and she was with Johnny 25 years ago. Evidently, OLD news doesn't affect THAT story".
(As an aside - I never saw the deal with Barkin, even when she was young. The mouth, the eyes, the attitude - just don't see it.)
FBI leaders, including then-Director James Comey, were “fired up” about a potential connection between the Trump campaign and Russia — which ultimately was proven false, text messages and court testimony revealed Tuesday.
On Sept. 21, 2016, two days after Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann gave then-FBI General Counsel James Baker info about a supposed digital back channel between the Trump Organization and Moscow-based Alfa Bank, agent Joe Pientka texted colleague Curtis Heide: “People on 7th floor to include Director are fired up about this server.”
“Did you guys open a case? Reachout [sic] and put tools on?” Pientka asked. “If not I will call Dan as Priestap says its [sic] not an option – we must do it.”
“[R]oger,” Heide replied. “we are opening a [counterintelligence] case today.”
Later in the day, Pientka told Heide that a unit would be assigned to the case shortly, adding, “go forth and conquer.”
In one Oct. 3, 2016, email, agent [Curtis] Heide wrote to Gaynor, “We really want to interview the source of all this information. Any way we can track down who this guy is and how we’re getting this information?”
Supervisory Special Agent Daniel Wierzbicki followed up: “An interview with the source of information … may allow us to understand the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of the white paper.”
