So, through this, every Catholic should have the exact same interpretation... no?
should, yes! But that's impossible as the whole human thingy and free will come into play. I think you're missing my point--my beef isn't with individual Protestants--it's with Protestantism. It was a human movement and that IS a fact. The RCC gave us the word of God in the bible and it was deemed God-breathed for a millennia and a half. We know the rest of history...

Is Catholicism NOT a human movement?

Borgia. "nuff said. Just two popes......

And yet, we're still here as Christ himself promised...That's all you've got--some bad Popes? I see preachers getting locked up weekly in the news. Leader of a big mega church in MoCo just last week. AND?

Divine? The Inquisition, the molesting of youths by clergy that was covered up by the Church, the abuses the Church visited upon citizens in the Dark Ages an Middle Ages as it used its political power to stifle all opposition to its power, or if you want one example of the early Church and how "Divine" it was: Hypatia.

Revisionist history. You must have been a common core student of history. The crusades? THE SINGLE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD AND EMBELLISHED EVENT IN HUMAN HISTORY. You do realize the "dark ages" really weren't so dark considering the inventions/advancements during that period of time. What, no Galileo? C'mon that's it?

You will not find me defending the RCCs leadership or handling of the clergy abuse crisis.

Defend the Inquisition by your "Divinely" rooted Church , defend the murder of Hypatia (by the way "murder" is a nice way of say she was attacked by a mob of Christians lead by an early Church leader, had her clothes ripped off, was cut into pieces and then burned), explain the abuses of carried out by the Borgia Popes. The Crusades and Galileo are both easily explained when you understand the Church was a political power and a tyrannical oen at that.

Sin of man, of which no one is exempt
