Juiceing

I bought a juicer a few years ago. I calculated that the cost came to $30.00 per gallon!!! Mikey no longer juices.

Kale, carrots, spinach, grapes, turnips, apples.... carrots add sweet taste along with the fruit.

It's a LOT of work to clean up the machine and the juice does not last long in the fridge (no preservatives).

I believe that Vrai started a thread about juicing a couple of months back. Do a quick search for it.

Here are a ton of juice recipes:

I was juicing regularly, and then got over it. It's expensive and the tasty juice has a surprising amount of sugar and calories because of all the fruit. I didn't think the clean up was bad because I cook, so I'm used to pots and pans.

That said, juicing is a great way to detox and lose a few pounds. :yay:
