Just bought Toshiba Satellite

No, sorry, I was looking to sell it so I could pay off this new one. I did all of what you said. I just found out yesterday that one of my memory cards was bad, so Dell sent me a new one overnight. NOW there is no problems with speed. But thanks for the offer! :howdy:

Damn, I tried.

One bad Dimm can kill you!

I would not get rid of it if I were you... I love mine.

BTW - what are you asking for it? I can put the word out for you. :

1500.00 has all the upgrades it will take. I put new DVD RW in it, 4GB of RAM and it has New hard drive 160GB and new touchpad, new motherboard (Dell recently replaced that) It also has about 2 yrs. of warranty left. Is in perfect condition as I have never taken the plastic cover off the red side. It is still protected. I'm not so sure I want to sell it, but if I can I will :nomoney:

I am logged in as administrator. I have a wireless network with a Linksys router and can't get a driver installed. The only driver that Windows put in its list is for the 2605n, which apparently is not the same as the 2600n.

If you can give me easy to understand instructions on how you setup your printer, I would greatly appreciate it! That's the only printer left that I need to get on board now. All the rest of them are gone! :killingme

Sorry, it took so long, I don't get on the boards a lot.

I believe I am using the default settings on the 2600n, I am positive I have it setup to use dhcp to get an IP from the router. The CD that came with the 2600n I have didn't have the Vista drivers/SW but the XP SW so i downloaded the vista materials from HP's website. I used the download link under "Software" with the description of "HP Color LaserJet 2600n - English Printing System" (about 66.7MB download). I went through the normal installation dialogs for that (no customization) and my printer worked.

That really was all that it took to get it working. I believe I have tried the driver download and that didn't work. My guess would be the driver is for a direct connection to the printer, but the software is necessary when using it as a network printer.

Hope this helps.

That may be what I was doing wrong. I just downloaded the driver. I'll try downloading the software package from HP's website and see what happens.

Thanks for the info! :howdy:
