Real close. The guy came from the right, Pier One, ran a stop sign wasn't even looking at the road, munching a french fry. Yeah, I had a close look. I was in the left lane and he forced me to the right. Would probably have hit my back end. 20 feet ahead there was a stop sign. I was so pissed I actually got off the bike and walked backed yelling at him. He was making apologetic motions, so I got back on. Jesus, what a dork.

I had no trouble getting out of his way, but he did suprise me by running the sign. I think there is a sign there anyway. I'm glad I dinn't actually punch him out. Then I guess I'd be the one in deep kimchi.

Glad you're okay. We should be able to taser people when we see them driving like freaks, kind of like a citizens arrest only different. Hell, I could knock out 3 or 4 of them just on my way to the post office. People just flat don't pay attention when they're driving anymore. And they don't look before they cross the street, either.

:yum: This is a good thing.

The drivers in this area are why Dutch doesn't like to ride anymore. Too many close calls and one lay down skid (or whatever you cyclists call it)

235 is bad enough, but the strip parking lots and connecting roads are :yikes:

I feel safe navigating the strip centers in my car. 10mph will not kill you in a steel cage. On a motorcycle, it might...when the next car runs over you. Ugh.
