I just got my new bettery in the mail and my cell phone suddenly decided to stay charged all day, with the old battery in it.

WTF?

I hate this thing

I had to get a new choc too, mine kept reezing up. The new one wouldn't vibrate and the MP3 player didn't work, they fixed it but the choc still sucks.

I washed BF's choc by accident, we dried it out, it worked. He lost it a few months later, after we got home from getting him a new one I found it in the washing machine.... in his pocket

That's funny! Don't you know that you always have to check your man's pockets before you wash his clothes??!! :killingme My hubby cannot get it through his head to empty his pockets so I've washed money, pens, nails & screws, his wallet (Toppick knows how it is w/ the wallet!), tissues, you name it. The one thing he never loses track of is his phone because work is always calling when he's off. So at least I washed things that are cheap to replace.

How do you lock it when you are talking?

Its done it since ive owned it, didnt see anything in the menu to turn it on or off. Like i said anytime i make or receive a call it locks so you dont push any buttons. Just tried it once i push send the back light for the buttons turns off. Its been a good phone alot better than my old flip phone that broke on half when it fell out of my pocket.

The battery wears out fast if your phone is constantly looking for a signal.

Some phones are better than others with reception/signal strenth. My current phone is the best one I've ever owned. Its pretty bulky though. But several other folks that I work with have the same phone and they really like it too.

It's the Casio Gz'One. Contractor phone is what they market it as. Shock proof, water resistant, etc. It's bulky, has nice big buttons, and doesn't feel like I'ts going to break everytime I open it. I stick it on the charger every couple of weeks whether it needs it or not, and that's it. I love it.

It gives me really good reception even in areas where my old phone would die, like in CRE, at my house, the g/f's house, etc.

Might be worth looking into.

My 2nd replacement phone in two months..:tantrum:

At least I did not have to pay for this one. The Chocolate is a piece of crap! :ohwell:

Question?? I live in an area where the service is dead for a half mile radius around my house, is there a way to improve reception in a bad area?? It's a pain the ass to leave the house every time I send or receive a call/text.

Anyone have a G'z One yet? I head they are tough.

One time on Zoe 101 they were stranded at the beach and Quinn wired the cell phone to the wireless internet laptop and she increased the service so much that they could reach the cool teacher at the school and he came and picked them up.

Battery life is reduced by using the vibrate mode. If you are getting lots of text messages a day while on vibrate that can wear the battery down in addition to the "searching for signal mode".
