Just some peace and quiet please!

LightRoasted

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

Came out to sit on the front porch this evening to enjoy an adult beverage and listen to the evening nature sounds, but it is ducking noisy out here! Helos from NESEA, planes from DCA, trucks from hollyrock, and dirt bikes from the neighbor kids - I can’t hear myself read the forums tonight for Gods sake! oh yeah - and the GD neighbor’s barking dog that hates to be outside- just keep that GD sissy dog inside!

Try living next to or near the Cove Point LNG Plant. Those people have to deal with the constant loud droning of the chiller equipment that turns the natural gas into a liquid. And it is an inescapable loud noise. There is only peace and quiet when they are off, and that's is only for a short while.

I was just out on my pier, watching a beautiful sunrise. The island was perfectly still..the sounds of a couple birds chirping about the only noise.
For a moment, the world was a beautiful place.
I was in my deer stand enjoying the wildlife come to life in the morning such a wonderful time in the woods.

It's still a beautiful place Gilligan, just a lot sadder. I adored my father. FWIW when he died, I would watch sunsets, sunrises, the stars at night, the way the water lapped up on the sand at the Point, anything and everything that was peaceful and claming. It brought me a sense of peace and made it feel as though he were there. It still does.

Damned glad to meet you
Nice malapropism! :lmao: I bow to your mastery of mangling the English language. You've beasted me!
Thank you for your bowels! Thank you!

Mom doubted it's usefulness when I got my MM, Masters of Manglery degree, but she's proud of me for fondling a use for it.🎓
