There isn't, and never has been. I learned that long ago, and that lesson has held me in good stead.

Even though the US is by far one of the safest countries in the world to live in, we have more than our fair share of sociopaths. These folks hate seeing happiness, and will do things you can't even imagine to rid you of your happiness.

[And these sociopaths come in all colors, races, ages...]

Walk into a bar all happy with a smile? They will knock that smile off of your face. Own a nice house? They won't just rob it, they will defile it. Love a woman with all of your heart? They will rape her.

So, what's a forumite to do? Always be on offensive footing. Let the world know that you are alpha. And if something ever does happen, keep it close, handle your sh!t, and you're good.

lack'o parenting ...... violent video games / movies desensitized kids to it .... but it still comes down to parental responsibility and how the parents raised the child .......

I played Half Life here on a home LAN for yrs with my son, from about age 12 fragging each other ........ he is not going out raping an terrorizing ........

he wants to know why we just cant carpet bomb the middle east to fix the terrorism problems ....... hehehe

The parents need to step up and raise their childern. Until they do, you will continue to see a trend in youth committing violent acts.

After reading this I am thankful my children are well versed in sword and knife and that they are readily accessible in the home. I could only hope we would all keep our heads and have a strong enough survival instinct to not panic and wield the weapons.

All the perpetrators should be annihilated. To kill someone that has no soul is not murder.
