Just when

I was feeling sorry for myself driving home in that drenching, blinding downpour yesterday, here comes a guy on his m/c heading the other way.

Poor bastage!:killingme

There's a guy who comes in to our building daily, guess he's some kind of courier. Rides a red crotch rocket, no matter what the weather is. I happened to be behind him on 235 one day. No boots, no foul weather gear, no water-proof jacket, spray from the tire up his back.....

And it's not like he didn't have fair warning about the rain that day, it had been raining since early morning.

Is there anything worse than riding in the rain?
Me and 3 friends were heading to Florida a number of years back and we were just into Virginia when it hit. We had rain gear with us but there was no where to pull over to put it on. It was like needles going into my arms and chest. And it rained all the way until we stopped for the night in Georgia.

If it was a green & silver Honda Valkyrie Interstate, that was me!

2 wheels wet still beats caging dry... especially on the ride home... who cares? you're gonna change clothes when you get home anyway! I take the Valkyrie on those days because it has the tour pack and I can put my laptop in it. Otherwise I just bungie it to the backrest on the Road King and go...

Some people complain about guys waving when they ride... I wave cause I missed seeing other bikes all winter... :buddies:

I would have thought some of the 6 foot high waves some of the cars were making would damn near knock a bike over.

850 lbs of bike + 200 lbs of Rider is a lot more stable than that... I've been hit with some pretty good bow waves riding... the only problem is that split second you can't see through it... just like in a cage... the difference is first stop at work is to wash the road muck off your face...

Our bikes + 300 pounds of chrome = 850 pounds

lol... Except it's a Honda Valkyrie Interstate and all the 'chrome' is plastic...

Flat 6 cylinder engine is very heavy... Dry weight on the bike is around 775 lbs... add 7 gallons of gas... etc.. .. Probably darn close to 850... It is my beast...

Nice bike, :yay: a Goldwing light. The nickle trick is impressive.

Never understood why Honda thought it was a good idea to change the Valk into the Rune monstrosity
