They told her to do that to make Pence look like some manspreader white supremacist, but she'd say it when it was Pence's turn to respond and he wasn't confident enough to shut her down. It's like when she was "debating" Biden and calling him out for the racist he is, that whole "I was that little girl" spiel was planned and scripted - her team had a grade school pic of her up on Twitter within seconds of her saying that.
Priceless was when her team decided that pronouncing her name wrong was racist, and Joe Biden said her name several times when announcing her as VP and pronounced it different each time. Notice that he still calls her KaMAla on occasion.
Willie was a brave man to get it near those chompers.
