Because NASCAR doesn't know when to just postpone a race. The sport was somehow better off to rush to race on Sunday night at Bristol with 12 fans in the stands with the race moved to cable television (FOX Sports 1 where it earned the lowest rating in the demo in over a decade) than to race on Monday with the race on FOX and maybe several thousand in attendance. I'm sure all the fans who fell asleep at 11pm and didn't see the race resume were better served by such a late restart.

Thanks for going back and getting my picks from the week before. Did not know that it was a Saturday night race, till 15 minutes before the race started, and at that point I said to myself, Im not logging on and rushing to get my picks in. I saw some of the race but the rain delay took so long, I went to bed. Did not do to bad, would have probably picked all the same drivers anyway.
