New York Gov. Kathy Hochul says she called President-elect Trump on Thursday to "reaffirm" the pair can work together in areas like infrastructure where the state relies on federal funding.

:lmao:

I'd tell her to piss up a rope. All that money she's giving illegal aliens would more than pay for a Penn Station revamp.

NY residents must love high taxes, big government? They keep voting for it like Maryland.

Bartender anecdotal evidence:

Years ago I was in Greenwich having a smoke outside a bar and one of the bartenders was out there with me, so we got to talking. I asked him what he thought of Giuliani and he said he hated him. I asked if he didn't like it better with less crime and cruddy people laying in the streets and he said no, because that's NYC's personality and uniqueness.

It's hard for me to believe that people would ever want something I don't want, or not want something that makes perfect sense to me, and yet there they are.

🤔

I imagine it's the same with Chicago - they like it that way. If they didn't, surely they would vote different. And that's fine - they can have what they want, I just don't want to hear them bitching about what they specifically voted for.

I’ve talked to people in Chicago and they CAN be like Costner in “The Untouchables” - yeah, well you’re not from Chicago. There’s an odd PRIDE in being in a dangerous city - but only until the crime affects YOU or someone you know.

And that's fine, just don't inflict it on the rest of us who DON'T want that.

No gun violence in Chicago I guess. I never hear these Dems that want guns banned talk about any shootings there. Wonder why that is?

No, New Yorkers do not but urban New Yorkers do.

I liked being from San Diego, where the crime rate is actually, you know, low.

Because most of the shooting is being done by their pets who vote for them (whether they know it or not)? :sshrug:

You should have pulled out a pistola and let him have what he's proud of: crime.
