The GOP is in the minority in NY. The county map might look red, but the votes are in the blue. Nothing will change except business and citizens will leave for greener pastures.
Unfortunately, blue area voters have a horrible habit of fleeing high tax states as well. Horribly because they seem to like government spending money, just not theirs. They never seem to connect the dots, voting Democrat equals more spending-more taxes, blindly continue to vote the same old problematic way in their new state, infecting the representative body with new viruses.

And the guy who beat Lake has family ties to a Mexican drug cartel. His dad is in prison for drug trafficking. He's all, "Oh, I was born a poor Mexican child and I never had a father! Raised by a single mom!"
