Katy Perry on Sesame Street

This goes back to the discussion over where to draw the line between what is acceptable and what is not.

I think most of us can look back at Elvis and recognize that the negativity towards him was unjustified; the establishment of the time rejected him because he was new and dangerous to their mindset, not because there was anything inherently dangerous in his dancing, singing or acting.

Versus the modern progressive mindset, which has effected very real and considerable dangers upon our culture and standard of living - such as teen sex and pregnancy, casual drug use and generally loose morals.

And the Leftists are not totally stupid: they know the sooner they start, the better. Thus, you change the education system, you change the media and you change the way people perceive all those things. The goal is to make the agenda so pervasive that, no matter where parents turn or how they attempt to control what their children learn, the agenda will still get in.

Leftists also know they can not move too quickly, lest they appear too forthright. So they are willing to allow the process to take years, even generations... with the end always in sight.

My view will, no doubt, be seen as a reach and an over-reaction by some, but as this thread has demonstrated, it's all based on perspective... where to draw that line. That there is a culture shift happening, however, is undeniable.

What should NOT happen is allowing the debate to become hung up on the focus of one girl's dress, or one kids' show episode, and certainly not the pointless name-calling.

I'm not going to disagree that your line is different than mine, and Baja’s, and Larry’s, etc… But it seems the line is moving constantly. We tolerate more and more knowing there is very little we can do to stop it. I have very little inclination to change that. I have very little desire to stop the train wreck. I’m more interested in just raising the points and awareness of what I see exists. If it changes some minds fine. I’m not so deluded to believe that I have the answer. I just see what I see and say it.

That is all.

I’m simply pointing out that this is the direction our society is going and it gets more and more depraved. Katy Perry is a small example of an effort of the progressive part of our society that intends to dumb us down and make us dependent on them: the progressives. There was a time you wouldn’t have seen Katy Perry on any TV show dressed like that. On most prime-time shows it’s the norm and worse. We’ve become numb robots just letting our kids sit in front of the TV getting pumped full of BILGE that does nothing more for their edification and consciousness than if they were to get punched in the face over and over. That way when they become teens and adults they have been primed for real progressive indoctrination.

Are the progressives men in black, who fly black helicopters, flown from area 51?

You sure do blame alot on Progressives, while ignoring all the other factors that have, will continue to have, and have always caused society to change and evolve as it progresses
